For fall 2011 John Varvatos sent his rock star, vintage inspired man traveling. Walking into a runway made of train tracks his models demonstrated the art of layering.... hairy knits, vests with raw edges, ragged jackets and beat up coats were all layered tastefully while still looking natural and effortless. A general color palate of grays and blacks was supported by sparks of navy, eggplant and army shades that added mystery and sophistication to this 21st century vagabond look! Often accessorized with skinny scarves or looser ties worn over wool pants with a signature front left pocket that were tacked nonchalantly into the boots....I'm a sucker for the rock and roll look .....especially when its offered in a smart luxurious way such as here.
