Findings - Brera Quattro watch

The Brera Quattro timepiece at Barneys
WHY: I think its actually the first time I'm posting about a watch, i guess the main reason is cause i dont actually wear one. With today's technology you have the time on your phone, Ipod, Ipad, computer etc. so from a useful perspective to have a watch on your wrist just doesn't serve much. I feel that watches became either the property of the old school, classic guy or a status symbol for the young contemporary guy. When i was a kid, to have a watch meant the world for me, i remember my first one, it was an analog silver round watch with a blue dial by Citizen....i was probably about 12-13  years old and i think that was the most expensive watch i ever owned cause after that i only went for cheap (not to say fake) of the street watches, so i could have few of them to style with my outfits as needed instead of investing in one expensive watch i would probably get bored with after few months. Shortly after i stooped wearing watches on my wrist (it felt annoying and got in the way of my bracelets) so i use to tie them on the front of my pants on a special loop i made on the waistband (the advantage of making your own pants).
This timepiece from Brera draws inspiration from the modern lines of contemporary Italian design and combines a sporty/casual touch with a bit of a dressier feel, so you can wear it with your business suits or with shorts a T while hanging in your summer house (and to make it even easier It includes their interchangeable strap changing system that allows to change straps quickly to match your different looks (where was that when i use to wear watches???). The square shape and the metal case with the four screws gives it a masculine touch, yet compare to other heavy and bulky masculine watches this one is fairly minimalist and sized (43 mm or about 1 5/8") well to still look sophisticated...
