Saks Fifth Avenue is after the fashion-forward men....

According to WWD the luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue will debut a complete line that is an offshoot of its successful Saks Fifth Avenue Men’s Collection and that is targeted to the modern shopper. The SFA Men’s Collection which was launched last August labeled the Crown collection and has been geared towards the classic men's style. According to Tom Ott, senior vice president and general merchandise manager of men’s wear this modern line will launch in 25 doors and will offer
velvet blazers, paisley shirts and pin-striped pants among its complete collection which will include trousers, woven shirts, knit shirts, sweaters, tailored clothing and outerwear. Shoes will be added for spring.
In addition to the retailer's effort in targeting the more advantageous contemporary customer, the store is also beefing up its branded contemporary assortment and worked on exclusive items with a handful of contemporary resources (include BD Baggies, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Elizabeth & amp; James and AG) offering “key items” such as blazers, woven shirts and non denim bottoms beginning this fall. “They’re items that many guys with a contemporary point of view would consider essential in their wardrobe” says Ott.
This initiative, which is being called Saks Essentials, is intended to attract a younger customer, and is not necessarily targeted to the same shopper as the Crown Collection. Crown is more mainstream and the contemporary lines are geared more to the customer who is willing to experiment!
Well... A man Of Style thinks that the contemporary customer is eager for more fashion forward product and therefore i am exited for both ventures and am curious to see the new Crown collection.....
